THIS IS AN EXEMPT POSITION
Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties. This employee will manage the Warehouse and regularly direct the work of all of its employees, as well as providing recommendations to Management, which recommendations will be given particular weight.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
- Inventory Management and communication with other Departments including Logistics/Production/Purchasing Teams
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Familiarity with all Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Activity including Loading/Unloading of all OTR Trucks as well as Ocean Containers
- Familiarity with Food Handling and prior Food Warehouse Experience a plus
- Familiarity with Food Production (Juice Focus preferred but not needed) Operations
- Familiarity and Managementof all Warehouse Equipment including Forklifts, Dock Equipment etc.
- Issues written and oral instructions
- Weekend and Off Hours Requested/Needed as Work Load requires
Supervisory Responsibilities -
Manages one to five employee(s) in Warehouse Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications -

Key qualifications include:
- Prior experience in refrigerated food environment, consumer products industry / food and beverage with familiarity with quality and hygiene regulation desired
- Solid understanding of production processes and mechanics of line equipment
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and production monitoring systems
- Grasp of cost implications on various operations related factors
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on tight deadlines and delegate accordingly
- Previous experience with cross-docking
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence change and encourage action
- Solid problem solving abilities with the ability to coach and mentor others in this capacity
- Demonstrated track record of developing employees
- Ability and willingness to respond to after-hours calls for critical issues and provide weekend coverage a few times/year
- Keeping company current with industry trends and governmental requirements
Education and/or Experience -
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields; Masters preferred; Five or more years related experience and/or training within manufacturing with two or more years? experience in supervisory capacity with production line; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills -
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills -
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability -
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills -
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software, Power Point software and Microsoft Word Processing software, ERP Systems.
